Pauline Guerrier

Based in Lisbon

Pauline Guerrier is a Paris and Lisbon-based artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans drawing, sculpture, and performance. Deeply influenced by her artist family and shaped by her training at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris under Giuseppe Penone and Ann Veronica Janssens, Guerrier’s work bridges ancestral craftsmanship and contemporary concerns. Her practice draws on fieldwork across Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Chile, Benin, and Senegal, often in collaboration with local artisans—glassblowers, weavers, and mosaicists.

Exploring themes such as ecology, science, faith, and superstition, Guerrier employs artisanal techniques as symbolic language systems that speak to both materiality and meaning. She has exhibited at major international art fairs including Art Paris, ArcoLisboa, Istanbul Art Fair, and Sp-Arte São Paulo, and is represented in collections such as Villa Datris, Zinsou Foundation (Benin), MO.CO Montpellier, and Château La Coste. Guerrier is represented by Foco Gallery (Lisbon) and Romero Paprocki Gallery (Paris), with ongoing collaborations with RX, Stems Gallery, and Clavé Fine Art.
